There are four ways in which students can participate
at the Showcase:
| Constitutional Scholars | Students eagerly share their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution dividing into sixteams with each team answering questions from one of the six units. Students can participate at the high school or junior high/middle school level. One of the schools participating as High School Constitution Scholars will be selected to represent Minnesota in the national We the People competition, May 2002. |
| Constitutional Fellows | Students have studied most but not all of the We the People materials and show what they know by dividing into teams, answering questions from as many units as desired (more than one but less that all six). You and your students select the units. |
| Constitutional Associates | Students have not studied the complete We the People text and choose to share their in-depth knowledge of one of the units. They divide into teams with all teams answering questions from only one of the units. You and your students select the unit. |
| Constitutional Observers | Students have studied the U.S. Constitution and choose to learn more by listening to other students as they answer questions. The number of observers will be limited by space. |
| Constitutional Timers |
Duluth Central and Nicollet Junior High Schools came as
Constitutional Scholars and were competing for the trip to the national
finals on May 4-6, 2002 in Washington DC. Capitol Hill participated
in the hearings using the Level II (Middle) text book and Level II questions.
